Agrarian space and judicial context. A post-reform reflection

Abstract

Introduction: Justice in ejido and communal lands has historically been sidelined due to a series of conflicts that have intensified in recent years. This is attributable to policies implemented during the last century, which promised higher yields and more efficient processes in Mexican agriculture but ultimately led to the dismantling of ejido and communal lands as a result of those actions. Objective. In this context, the objective of this essay is to rethink how to bring agrarian justice to this sector of the population by appointing honorable individuals to positions responsible for administering that justice—individuals who possess the professional capacity and decent working conditions necessary to serve a sector of the population that has been marginalized.
